WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Marshfield man was found guilty of child exploitation and possessing child pornography earlier this month.
The decision came from Judge Suzanne O’Neill after Matthew Kinas entered a no contest plea to the counts back on August 18th. Court records show O’Neill then sentenced him to five years in prison and 10 years on extended supervision.
Charges stem from a report of images that were found on a Google Drive account associated with Kinas. The images depicted Kinas and a young girl, who had been tied up with duct tape and was being sexually assaulted.
Court records show that the sentence took into account charges against Kinas that were filed in Wood County that were dismissed but read into the record. That case involved four felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
The 29-year-old must also maintain his address on the state’s sex offender registry and complete treatment.
