GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Following the Packers’ dominant victory over the Chicago Bears, Pro Football Focus has released their Week 1 grades.
Green Bay finished with several players scoring high grades, including linebacker Quay Walker and right tackle Zach Tom.
On the offensive side of the ball, Zach Tom received the highest grade at 84.8 (high quality), Romeo Doubs came in with the second-highest grade with 78.4 (above average), and David Bakhtiari finished just behind Doubs with 78.3 (above average). Other notable grades included Aaron Jones with 71.3 (above average) and Samori Toure with 66.9 (average).
Jordan Love did play well yesterday, going 15-27 for 245 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a 123.2 QBR. However, Love only scored 60.8 from PFF due to the fumbled snap that ended with a deep, completed pass to Luke Musgrave. He also only completed 55.6% of his passes.
Moving on to the defensive side of the ball, Quay Walker took home the highest grade with 92.1 (elite), topping star pass rusher Rashan Gary, who scored 83.4 (high quality). Gary produced five pressures on just 10 pass-rushing snaps played due to him still recovering from last season’s knee injury. The big surprise for the Packers’ defense came from Davonte Wyatt, who received an 82.5 (high quality) after leading the team with six total pressures and a strip sack.
Players who received the lowest grades included center Josh Myers with just a 44.0 after two botched snaps and AJ Dillon with a 55.0 due to him dropping a pass and creating just 19 yards on 13 carries. Keisean Nixon scored just 49.3 after he missed two tackles and gave up a team-high seven catches for 60 yards, including the touchdown pass to Darnell Mooney.
