GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers got some discouraging news after practice on Friday as they prepare to travel to Atlanta to face off with the Falcons on Sunday.
Starting inside linebacker Quay Walker did practice with the team but is not yet out of the league’s concussion protocol. Walker is coming off a strong performance against the Chicago Bears, where he recorded four tackles, one tackle for a loss, and scored a touchdown off an interception from Justin Fields.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, star running back Aaron Jones and wide receiver Christian Watson have both been on the injury report this week with hamstring injuries. Demovsky stated that Watson did practice with the team on Friday on a limited basis, but Jones did not, adding to the doubt that he would play on Sunday.

If Jones is indeed unable to go, the team will look to power back AJ Dillion to take over as the team’s main running back on Sunday. Undrafted rookie Emanuel Wilson out of Fort Valley State, who rushed for an NFL-high 223 rushing yards across three preseason games this offseason, will also be expected to see a heavy workload in Jones’ absence.
Other notable players not practicing on Friday included star left tackle David Bakhtiari, who also sat out of practice all last week before starting and not allowing any pressures against the Bears. Head Matt LaFleur told reporters after practice that Bakhtiari will “probably be questionable all year.”
