TOWN OF MARATHON, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash that left one person dead in the Town of Marathon Wednesday evening.
Crews were called to County Road B and Four Mile Road at about 9:00 PM to investigate the crash, where they found the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle deceased. No further details about the crash are being released at this time.
The name of the driver is also being withheld pending notification of the family.
The crash occurred just south of Marathon City. Responding agencies included SAFER, the Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office.
