Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom Internship Opportunities
The Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom program provides agricultural information through teaching resources and lesson plans to help K-12 students develop an understanding of how their food is grown and raised. The program works within existing curricula to provide basic information on the nation’s largest industry: agriculture.
The Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom Program is offering two internship opportunities for the 2023-24 school year.
- Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom Intern – The individual in this role will gain valuable experience in non-profit work, social media content strategy, event coverage, and networking with professionals in agriculture and education fields. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: social media content creation and management, programming communication and pre- and post-event coverage.
Start date for the Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom intern will be January 2024 with an end date of July 2024.
- Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom Educational Resources Intern – The individual in this role will gain valuable experience in non-profit work, educational content creation, teacher marketing and networking with professionals in agriculture and education fields. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: developing lessons and activity kits relative to Wisconsin soybeans and fruit crops, developing materials to market educational resources and activities to Wisconsin teachers and programming communication.
Start date for the Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom Educational Resources Intern is November 2023 with an end date of May 2024.
Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation Internship Opportunities
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm organization representing farms of different sizes, commodities and management styles. Members belong to one of 61 county Farm Bureaus, run by a board of directors made up of people working in agriculture. Farm Bureau prides itself on being a grassroots organization.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is offering two internship opportunities for the spring and summer of 2024.
- Wisconsin Farm Bureau Communications Intern – The individual in this role will gain valuable experience in non-profit work, social media content strategy, event coverage and networking with professionals in agriculture. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: social media content creation and management, content capturing for multiple media platforms, content creation and writing WFBF’s publications and Gather Wisconsin.
Start date for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Communications Intern is March 2024 with an end date of August 2024.
- Wisconsin Farm Bureau Leadership and Programs Intern – The individual in this role will gain valuable experience in non-profit work, event planning, coordinating volunteers and networking with professionals in agriculture. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: social media management, program support for WFBF’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist and Promotion and Education programs and developing content and materials for activities related to the Wisconsin Association of FFA.
Start date for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Leadership and Programs Intern is May 2024 with an end date of August 2024.
