WASHINGTON DC (WSAU) – Former President Trump’s poll numbers continue to see slight increases across the country as the economy and U.S. foreign relations continue to struggle.
According to Emerson College, Trump currently leads President Biden by two points in Wisconsin. The poll also found that Biden’s overall job rating currently sits at just 34% and that 11% of respondents were open to a secondary candidate such as Robert Kennedy Jr.
Emerson conducted the poll in other crucial swing states, such as Michigan, where former President Trump saw an estimated 7-point lead over Biden at 42% to 35%. President Biden’s overall job rating struggled there as well, with only 31% of respondents giving their approval. However, 20% of respondents stated again that they were interested in a secondary candidate.
Trump saw his largest lead in the Emerson poll from Pennsylvania, where he leads President Biden by a whopping 9 points, from 45% to 36%.
The latest Marquette Law poll found that voters prefer former President Trump over President Biden on key issues such as the economy by 24 points, border security by 24 points, handling inflation by 23 points, and creating jobs by 19 points. Overall, Marquette Law found that Trump leads Biden by 3 points 51% to 48%.
Other national polls have also recorded similar trends. The latest Messenger/HarrisX poll found that former President Trump leads Biden by 4 points nationally and also leads the GOP primary field by 44 points, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis registering in second place with 14% of the vote. Democratic polling firm Clarity Campaign also found that Trump leads Biden by 4 points nationally in their latest national poll.
