WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Senate voted to confirm President Joe Biden’s pick to run the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Monica Bertagnolli, on Tuesday with a bipartisan 62 to 26 vote.
The NIH had been without a permanent leader since December.
