ROSEMONT, IL (WSAU) — The Big Ten Conference has announced a kickoff time for the battle for the ax.
Wisconsin and Minnesota will play on Saturday, November 25th at 2:30 CST, meaning pregame on WSAU will be at 12:30 PM. The game will be televised on FS1.
The Ax game was one of a handful of Saturday games that were subject to flexible scheduling. The weekend will kick off on Black Friday, November 24th, with Iowa playing Nebraska at 11 AM and Michigan State hosting Penn State at Ford Field in Detroit at 6:30 PM.
Michigan and Ohio State will play on Saturday at 11 AM on FOX.
The remainder of the games that day will play out on Big Ten Network including Indiana vs Purdue and Northwestern against Illinois.
After last week’s loss to Northwestern, the Badgers sit at 5-5 overall and 3-4 in B1G play. They’ll need at least one win in their last two games to guarantee a bowl bid.
Wisconsin could still earn a bowl bid with a 5-7 record. Current projections show there will not be enough 6-6 teams to fill out the 80+ bids. If that’s the case FBS transitional schools James Madison University and Jacksonville State would fill out two bids, and any remaining slots would be awarded to teams with five wins, based on academic progress reports.
