MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) — A man was arrested early Thursday morning at the Marshfield Police Station on suspicion of his 4th OWI after telling officers he thought the building was his hotel.
The unidentified man was found parked in a vehicle at around 2:30 AM in the lot of the station. Officers noticed a man hunched over the steering wheel with empty beer cans thrown about the interior.
When the man woke up he struggled to roll down the window. Officers then put him through field sobriety tests, which he couldn’t complete. A breathalyzer test clocked his blood alcohol content at 0.265.
The man’s name has not been released. A 4th OWI charge in Wisconsin is a mandatory felony that carries a 60-day jail sentence and $600 in fines.
