MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) –The Milwaukee Brewers have avoided arbitration with one of their star players.
The New York Post reports Corbin Burnes has agreed to a one-year deal worth just over 15.5-million-dollars to stay in Milwaukee next season.
The 29-year-old claimed a third-straight All-Star appearance last season after sporting a 3.39 ERA and punching out 200 batters in just over 193 innings.
Burnes had been talked about as a possible trade candidate.
