Wisconsin Badgers
MANKATO, MN (WSAU) — The Wisconsin women spotted MSU Mankato a 2-0 advantage before scoring three straight of their own for a 3-2 WCHA win over the Mavericks on Friday.
Cassie Hall, Kelly Gorbatenko, and Kristen Simms each scored for the Badgers. Jane Gervais rebounded from a rocky start to make 14 saves in net.
Wisconsin outshot the Mavs 37-16 including a whopping 13-3 advantage over the final 20 minutes.
The Badgers are now 19-4 on the season and 13-4 in WCHA play. They’ll play MSU Mankato again today at 3:00 PM.
