MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Badgers women’s hockey team earned a split with top-ranked Ohio State. The Badgers, trailing 2-0, scored 4 unanswered goals on Saturday Night.
Wisconsin fell 3-1 in the Friday night game to open the two-game series.
Casey O’Brien and Laila Edwards each tallied a pair of goals as the Badgers (29-5-0, 23-5-0 WCHA) snapped the Buckeyes’ (29-3-0, 26-2-0 WCHA) 16-game winning streak in the final weekend of the WCHA regular season.
The Wisconsin women hadn’t beaten Ohio State since their 1-0 win in the 2023 national finals.

The Badgers men’s hockey team tallied a 3-2 overtime win against Penn State on Saturday afternoon. Ben Dexheimer scored the game-winner 2:26 into overtime.
The Badgers, in second place in the Big Ten will play two games next Friday and Saturday against Michigan State to determine the conference championships. MSU has a two-point lead in the standings.
