GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – As reports continue to come in from Indianapolis regarding teams meeting with prospects, the Packers have met with one of Wisconsin’s top players over the last three seasons.
According to Packers Insider, the Packers met formally with former Badgers running back and Fond du Lac native Braelon Allen at the combine, continuing the team’s perceived interest in drafting a running back in April.
Allen had a down year for Wisconsin, rushing for only 984 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023 after rushing for more than 1200 yards in back-to-back seasons for the Badgers.
Allen is the second running back the Packers have met with formally at the combine after meeting with Texas running back Jonathan Brooks earlier today. The Packers also held an informal meeting with Notre Dame running back Audric Estime.
Other notable players the Packers have held formal meetings with include Missouri cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr., Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins, Florida State defensive end Jared Verse, Georgia safety Javon Bullard, and Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt.
