WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — This weekend’s Chalkfest in downtown Wausau is down to a single-day event.
According to a news release from Wausau Events unfavorable weather conditions have canceled the first day of the event, leaving artists with just Sunday to complete their masterpieces.
Chalkers can start work at 7 AM and must be finished by 6 PM. Awards will be announced at that time from the stage in the 400 Block.
Awards voting will begin in the afternoon.
Children’s Chalkfest will begin at 8 AM with two options- $3 gets your child a box of chalk and a chalkboard. The $10 option includes pastel colors and drawing paper to take the art home.
