WESTON, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — The Wendy’s franchise is returning to the Wausau area.
WAOW TV has confirmed that the restaurant is going up near Walgreens and Auto Zone in Weston.
Marathon County has been without a Wendy’s for years. At one point there were two- one in Rib Mountain and one in Weston. The Rib Mountain location was destroyed by fire in 2013, and the Weston restaurant closed abruptly in 2022.
That leaves the closest Wendy’s location in Stevens Point.
A grand opening date has not been announced.
