CHESNUT HILL, MA (WSAU) — The Badger women’s hockey team continued their hot start with a 7-1 victory over Boston College in non-conference play Friday.
Casey O’Brien and Laila Edwards netted two goals each. Kelly Gorbatenko recorded four assists. Kristen Simms added a goal and two helpers.
Ava McNaughton made 15 saves.
The Badgers raced out to a 5-0 lead before Boston College scored their lone goal early in the 3rd period.
Wisconsin improves to 3-0-0 with the win. They’ve outscored their opponents 27-2 in those three games, including a 12-goal outburst in the season opener against Lindenwood (MO).
The Badgers and Eagles will play again this afternoon with face-off at 5:00 PM CT from Chesnut Hill. Wisconsin begins conference play next week against Minnesota-Duluth in Madison.
