MADISON, WI (METRO) – Supper clubs and local bars and restaurants across Wisconsin could soon offer Old Fashioned’s to go.
A pair of Republican lawmakers are pushing ahead with legislation that would allow for cocktails to go.
State Rep. David Steffen and state Senator Mary Felzkowski say local bars and restaurants are suffering because of the coronavirus and the myriad of local restrictions.
They say allowing for bar sales to go would help. Wisconsin’s Tavern League is on board with the plan, but the state’s Grocers Association is not because the proposal doesn’t allow for delivery of six packs or 12 packs.
