MADISON, WI (WSAU) — After over a year away from the court, the #1 ranked Wisconsin volleyball started a shortened season with 3-0 win over Purdue on Friday night at the UW Fieldhouse.
The Badgers won the games 25-14, 25-15, 25-16 in the sweep.
Dana Rettke had 11 kills, four blocks, three digs and a hitting percentage of .733. Freshman Deyvn Robinson had nine kills and Lauren Barnes had 11 digs from the back row.
Wisconsin will face Purdue again tonight at 8pm
The # 1 ranked Wisconsin women’s hockey team rolled over St Cloud State 10-0 on Friday afternoon in Minnesota.
Brette Pettet and Daryl Watts both had hat tricks for the Badgers. The other goals went to Britta Curl, Lacey Eden, Sophie Shirley and Natalie Buchbinder.
Kennedy Blair and Breanna Blesi combined for the shutout registering a combined 14 saves.
The two teams play again this afternoon.
The Wisconsin men’s hockey team dropped a 5-4 decision at Penn State Friday night splitting the two game series.
Badger goals went to Dylan Holloway, Roman Ahcan, Ty Pelton-Byce and Cole Caufield.
Cameron Rowe and Robbie Beydoun combined for 34 saves.
The Badgers will host Michigan State on Friday and Saturday at LaBahn Arena.
