The number of birds harvested in the 2020 fall turkey season were up 21% compared to 2019 according to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. In 2020 hunters registered 4,600 turkeys, while the 2019 total came to 3,792.
Harvest authorizations were up by over 6,900 compared to 2019. All together there were 81,710 authorizations issued last year.
The next turkey hunt in Wisconsin is the 2021 youth hunt April 17-18.
