TAMPA, FL (MetroSource-WSAU) — Tom Brady threw three touchdown passes as the Buccaneers blasted the Chiefs 31-9 in Super Bowl LV in Tampa.
He found former Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski twice in the first half for scores.
Leonard Fournette rushed for 89 yards, including a 27-yard TD for Tampa Bay.
Patrick Mahomes threw for 270 yards and two interceptions as Kansas City failed to repeat as Super Bowl champions. Travis Kelce had 133 receiving yards in the loss.
It’s the seventh Super Bowl title for Brady, giving him more rings than any franchise in the NFL (Pittsburgh and New England each have six), and the second for the Bucs’ franchise with the first coming in 2002 under current Raiders Head Coach John Gruden.
