MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers won their opening game yesterday in comeback style. They took advantage of some Minnesota errors and scored three runs in the 9th inning to tie the game at 5 and then won it in the 10th.
Lorenzo Cain scored the game winner from 3rd base on an infield chopper from Orlando Arcia. The Brewers had tied it in the 9th on a two out, two run double from Travis Shaw. Shaw had three RBI’s on the day. Omar Narvaez and Christian Yelich had the other RBI’s.
Josh Hader picked up the win by striking out the side in the 10th inning.
The two teams resume their series on Saturday night. Pre game show at 5:35 on WSAU.
