TOWN OF REID, WI (WSAU) — Sheriff’s Officials in Marathon County were called to a crash involving a motorcycle and pickup along Highway 153 in the Town of Reid on Saturday.
The incident happened at around 9 PM when a motorcyclist veered into oncoming traffic, striking a pickup head-on. The driver of the motorcycle was airlifted to a hospital, where they later died from their injuries.
The driver of the pickup was injured but is expected to recover. A passenger in the vehicle was uninjured.
Names of those involved have not been released. The incident closed down a portion of Highway 153 near the County Road Y intersection for nearly three hours from Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
