MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Bucks exploded for a big lead and knocked off Miami 132-98 to take a two games to none lead in their first round playoff series.
The Bucks hit 10 three pointers in the first quarter en route to a 78-51 halftime lead. They had 107 points at the end of the 3rd quarter and held the Heat to just 20 points in the 4th to pull away. They also out-rebounded the Heat 61-36 including 21 offensive boards.
Milwaukee had six players in double figures. Giannis led the way with 31 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals. Bryn Forbes had 22 off the bench going 6-9 from three point range. Khris Middleton finished with 17 points, Pat Connaughton had 15 and Bobby Portis 11. Jrue Holiday finished with 11 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds.
The series resumes Thursday in Miami.
