PHOENIX, AZ (WSAU) — The Arizona Diamondbacks 17 game losing streak is no more. They beat the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 on Monday night at Chase Field.
Brewer starter Brett Anderson had to leave the game in the second inning with a knee injury. Jake Cousins made his major league debut for Milwaukee and pitched two scoreless innings with five strikeouts.
The Brewers took the lead in the first inning on an Avi Garcia single driving in Kolten Wong but that was all the offense that Milwaukee could muster on this night.
The Brewers are now 40-33 and will face the Diamondbacks again tonight. Freddy Peralta will be on the mound and you can hear the game on WSAU…pre game show at 8:05.
