WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A jury has found a 22-year-old Wausau man not guilty in a shooting case from last year.
Andrew Falkowski had been charged with attempted first-degree homicide in an incident from August of 2020. He was also acquitted of second-degree attempted homicide and discharging a weapon. The jury came to their verdict on Thursday.
The shooting happened on August 27th and was discovered when a man with a gunshot wound knocked on the door of a Spring Street house on Wausau’s northeast side asking for help.
Falkowski was taken into custody the next day at a home in the Town of Upham. Falkowski is facing other charges in Marathon County.
