MINNEAPOLIS, MINN (WSAU) — The #5 ranked Wisconsin volleyball team knocked off Minnesota 3-2 on Sunday. The scores were 26-24, 25-19, 25-27, 26-28, 15-12.
The Badgers held off three Gopher match points.
Dana Rettke led Wisconsin with 21 kills. Jade Demps had 18 and also had 14 digs. Grace Loberg and Julia Orzol had 14 kills each. Orzol added a career high 14 digs
Sydney Hilley had 65 assists and 16 digs and Lauren Barnes had 25 digs.
Wisconsin, now 23-3, 13-3 in Big Ten, will host Nebraska for the Big Ten Championship on Friday afternoon at the Fieldhouse
The Wisconsin womens soccer team saw their season come to an end with a 2-1 loss to Santa Clara in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.
Emma Jaskaniec had the Badger goal assisted by Natalie Viggiano. Jordyn Bloomer had seven saves for the Badgers.
Wisconsin finishes with a record of 10-6-6
The #1 ranked Wisconsin womens hockey team swept a pair of games from St. Thomas over the weekend in St. Paul. Saturday’s score was 7-1 and Sunday’s was 5-1.
On Saturday Maddi Wheeler scored twice for Wisconsin. Other goals went to Brette Pettet, Casey O’Brien, Makenna Webster, Nicole LaMantia and Sophie Shirley.
Kennedy Blair and Cami Kronish combined for 12 saves.
On Sunday the Badgers got a goal from Brette Pettet just a minute into the game. The other goals went to Casey O’Brien, Sophie Shirley, Makenna Webster and Sarah Wozniewicz.
Jane Gervais ad 13 saves for Bucky.
The Badgers, now 15-0-1, have the weekend off before hosting Minnesota on Dec 3 & 4.
