MERRILL, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Merrill fire crews are on the scene of a structure fire on Second Street.
A resident living in the building told a WAOW-TV reporter that the fire started in the stairway, although the exact cause is not known.
That resident also said a neighbor’s dog has died from smoke inhalation.
The Merrill Fire Department is expected to have more information during the day Tuesday.
