MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin football team has tapped the NFL for a new offensive coordinator. They announced on Monday that Bobby Engram would get the gig.
Engram has spent eight seasons in the NFL, the last three coaching the Baltimore Ravens tight ends. He spent five years in Baltimore also coaching wide receivers. He also was an assistant at Pittsburgh and San Francisco.
Engram was an All-American wide receiver at Penn State and won the inaugural Fred Biletnikoff Awardin 1994 which goes to the top WR in the country. He spent 14 years in the NFL playing for Chicago, Seattle and KC catching 650 passes and scoring 35 touchdowns.
Engram is familiar with the Badger program as his son Dean is a member of the team who will be moving from cornerback to WR. He played in all 13 game last season including five starts.
