OMAHA, NEB (WSAU) — The Marquette mens basketball team went cold at the end and let a late lead slip away in an 83-82 loss Sunday at Creighton.
The Golden Eagles led by five with a little over five minutes remaining their only basket the rest of the way was a three pointer at the buzzer. They missed five shots and committed four turnovers down the stretch.
Daryl Morsell had 23 points to lead Marquette. Kam Jones had 18, Justin Lewis 11 and Kur Kuath had 10.
The Golden Eagles are now 17-10, 9-7 in Big East, and will host Butler on Saturday.
