WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Residents who have requested filters and pitchers for their water from the City of Wausau can begin picking them up starting on Monday.
Residents will be notified when it’s their turn to pick up the items through either an email or a robocall. City leaders advise watching inboxes and spam filters or junk mail folders as the emails are being sent in bulk.
Pickup will occur at 2001 N River Drive in a drive-thru fashion. Those picking up are asked to enter River Drive from 1st and Fulton near Cloverbelt Credit Union and ABC Supply and proceed north. Traffic will then be funded to Wausau Avenue after distribution.
River Drive will be a one-way street during pickup.
Those who haven’t registered for a filter and pitcher can still do so on the city’s website by clicking here. Walk-ups will not get pitchers at this time.
Each reservation is good for a pitcher and two filters from ZeroWater, which are certified to remove PFAS. Each filter is effective for about 40 gallons of water
