Wisconsin Badgers
MADISON, Wo (WSAU) –The Badgers men’s hockey coach gets a contract extension. A UW-Madison Athletic Department statement yesterday confirms coach Tony Granato will back for the coming season.
Athletic Director Chris McIntosh says despite a disappointing result this past season, he is confident that coach Granato will “lead the program in a direction that will return Wisconsin to prominence.”
Other Wisconsin winter sports coaches received one year extensions as well. That includes Greg Gard (mens basketball), Marisa Moseley (womens basketball), Yuri Suguiyama (swimming & diving), Chris Bono (wrestling) and Mark Johnson (womens hockey).
