CEDER RAPIDS, IA (WSAU) – The UW-Stevens Point baseball team lost its first game at the Division III College World Series.
They fell to defending D-3 champions Salisbury, 8-2 on Friday afternoon.
The Pointers had an early 1-0 lead in the 1st inning. They were tied in the bottom of the 3rd, and trailed after allowing 3-runs in the 5th and 3 more in the 8th.
The Pointers, the number 5seed in the tournament, were held to 6 hits.
The Pointers will play Catholic University on Saturday. The loser will be eliminated.
