SCHOFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — Flames reignited early Thursday morning at a Schofield home that also saw a fire on Tuesday.
WAOW TV reports that smoke could be seen from miles away as day broke. The fire was contained by 10 AM.
The initial fire started in the garage and spread to the second floor of the home. Two adults, two children, and several family pets made it out of the building. One person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
It’s unclear what caused the fires. The home suffered substantial smoke and fire damage and is uninhabitable. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
