PITTSBURGH, PA (WSAU) — It was an off-night for Corbin Burnes and the Brewers dropped a a 5-3 game with the Pirates Tuesday night at PNC Park.
Burnes walked five batters for the first time in his career and gave up four runs in 5.1 innings.
The Brewers took a 3-0 lead in the top of the 6th inning on solo homers from Willy Adames, Rowdy Tellez and Kolten Wong but the Pirates responded scoring five runs in their half of the inning.
The Brewers lost a game in the standings as the Cardinals won on Tuesday. Milwaukee leads St. Louis by two games heading into tonight’s action.
Freddy Peralta returns to the mound for the Brewers tonight as they face the Pirates again…pre game show at 5:30 on WSAU.
