MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin volleyball team opened Big Ten play three set sweep of Northwestern on Friday night at the Fieldhouse.
Julia Orzol had 12 kills and Devyn Robinson added 10. MJ Hammill have five aces for Wisconsin.
The Badgers, now 7-2, will play at Minnesota on Sunday.
The Wisconsin womens hockey team rebounded from an opening night loss and pounded Penn State 9-1 on Friday at University Park.
Lacey Eden and Sophie Shirley had two goals each. Also scoring for the Badgers were Casey O’Brien, Britta Curl, Laila Edwards, Kirsten Simms and Jesse Compher.
Jane Gervais had 22 saves
The Badgers, now 1-1 will host Lindenwood this Thursday and Friday.
The Wisconsin mens soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Rutgers on Friday night in Madison. Wisconsin played much of the match with only ten players after Inaki Iribarren was red-carded in the 23rd minute.
The Badger football team plays at Ohio State tonight—pre game show at 4:30 on WSAU.
