STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — A Stevens Point man who has multiple open court cases against him can add another for allegedly stealing mail from residents.
Derek Brock was arrested in mid-February after he was found to be trespassing on someone’s property. Officers noticed that he was carrying mail that didn’t belong to him, which led them to issue a search warrant for his home.
That’s where officers discovered more mail that wasn’t addressed to Brock along with drug paraphernalia. Officers then booked him on charges of theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of bail jumping.
Brock has open cases against him in both Waupaca and Wood Counties for felony drug charges.
He was released on a $500 signature bond and is set to return to court for the Portage County charges on March 13th.
