STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — Two people will serve seven years in prison for a 2022 robbery in Stevens Point.
Kardell Days of Plover and Kasey Kenwood of Milwaukee were handed the matching sentences after pleading guilty and no contest, respectively, to a dozen charges in the case.
The incident occurred in November of 2021 when Days and Kenwood robbed an apartment on Northpoint Drive. As the pair were going through the apartment, two of the tenants returned home. Days and Kenwood then held the residents at gunpoint.
The duo then forced the tenants to help load items into their car and forced them inside the vehicle as well. They drove to the outskirts of town, then kicked the tenants out of the car.
Day’s sentence was given earlier this week. Court records show Kenwood was sentenced in mid-February. No victims were present at the sentencing, but one impact statement was read into the record.
