EAGLE RIVER, WI (WSAU) — A Northwoods man accused of abusing women was in a Vilas County courtroom on Monday.
Frank Schuman was in court for a preliminary hearing for one count of substantial battery causing great bodily harm. Court records show a judge did find enough evidence to move the case forward, and bound him over for arraignment.
The court then entered a not guilty plea to the charge on Schuman’s behalf.
His next court appearance is May 9th.

Charges against Schuman date back to January when the Vilas County Sheriff put out a call for information on his location, saying they had reason to believe he had committed multiple acts of violence against women.
Schuman also faces a list of charges in Oneida County related to domestic abuse including battery, disorderly conduct, and recklessly endangering safety. He will appear on those charges on April 27th, according to court records.
