WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Central Wisconsin woman accused of bringing meth from the Twin Cities into the area has been released on a signature bond.
Heather Klug signed a $10,000 signature bond on Thursday with several conditions including no contact with alleged co-conspirators and absolute sobriety from all drugs except prescriptions. The 43-year-old is accused of driving to the Cities and bringing supplies of the drug back for distribution.
Officers had been monitoring her for nearly two years at the time of her arrest.
Charges against her include possessing more than 50 grams of meth with the intent to distribute and possessing more than 200 grams of THC. All those charges are felonies.
Klug also waived the reading of the charges and her right to a speedy trial. She did not enter a plea during Thursday’s appearance.
Further court action has been set for June 6th and 27th. No trial date has been set.
