WITTENBERG, WI (WSAU) — Officials with the Ho-Chunk Nation are investigating multiple positive COVID-19 tests among employees at two of their casinos in Wittenberg and the Wisconsin Dells.
In a Facebook post officials confirmed that two employees at the Wittenberg facility and three in the Dells have tested positive for the disease.
In both cases, officials say the employees did not have direct contact with casino patrons and health officials have identified those who did have direct contact with the individuals behind the scenes. Those individuals have been asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.
Additionally, all areas where the employees worked have been deep cleaned and sanitized.
The tribe is working with health officials in both Sauk County and Shawano-Menominee Counties to investigate the incident.
