KENOSHA, WI (WSAU) — A police officer in Kenosha was shot after being called to investigate a possible case of illegal entry into a vehicle.
The officer, who has reportedly been with the department for two years, did return fire. It’s unclear if he hit the suspect in the incident.
The 30-year-old officer, who was not identified, was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover. The Wisconsin Department of Justice will handle the investigation into the incident.
