MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) A strong majority of Wisconsinite support having to wear face coverings in Wisconsin.
A new Marquette Law School poll shows 69-percent of those asked believe that masks should be required in all public areas.
The poll was released Tuesday, 11 days after Governor Tony Evers issued a statewide emergency order requiring masks in public amid rising COVID-10 cases around the state.
The poll showed stark differences based on political ideology. 93-percent of Democrats favored mandatory-masks. Only 43-percent of Republicans did.
Overall concern about COVID-19 in the state is at its highest level since the poll asked about it in March.
The mask order runs through September 28th.
