MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — A big day from Andruw Monasterio led the Brewers to a 7-6 win over Colorado in ten innings on Wednesday.
The rookie went 2-5 with two runs scored and one RBI in the game. That included a solo home run in the fifth, his third of the season.
Willy Adames also homered in the 5th, his only hit in four plate appearances.
Brice Turang and Christian Yelich each had two hits as well.
Monasterio also brought home the winning run when he reached on a fielding error in the bottom of the 10th, allowing Mark Canha to score.
Adrian Houser went five innings, allowing four earned runs on five hits, but didn’t factor in the decision. Five different relievers worked over the next five innings, ending with Bryse Wilson allowing one hit and an unearned run in the 10th.
Wilson earned the win, his 4th of the season.
The Brewers (62-54) will be off on Thursday before heading to the South Side of Chicago to take on the White Sox on Friday. That game will move to 93.9 The Game due to Packers preseason football on WSAU. Pregame coverage will begin at 6:35, with first pitch just after 7:00 PM.
