Wisconsin finished the regular season 7-5. Their last game was a 28-14 win over Minnesota on November 26th to reclaim Paul Bunyan’s ax. Meanwhile, LSU went 9-3 during the season, finishing third in the SEC West.
The Badgers were winless against the Tigers until 2016, when they defeated No. 5 LSU 16-14 at Lambeau Field behind running back Cory Clement’s 21 carries for 86 yards and the defense holding LSU scoreless until almost the end of the 3rd quarter.
The ReliaQuest Bowl has been played annually since 1986. It was known as the Hall of Fame Bowl until 1995. Outback Steakhouse was the title sponsor of the game from 1996-2022.
Big Ten teams have appeared in the game 34 times, including five appearances by the Badgers.
Wisconsin defeated Duke in the 1995 game and Auburn in 2015. They lost to Tennessee in 2008 and Georgia twice (1998 and 2005).
The league holds a 13-21 record in the game.
The game will kick off at 11 AM CST. WSAU pregame coverage will begin at 9 AM.
