MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Even though it was raining and icy, the Marshfield community showed its support for the Wildwood Park and Zoo this week.
The zoo was able to provide the animals with a Christmas tree and treats thanks to numerous donations.
If you missed out on the festivities, don’t panic; you can still drop by with your tree, however it’s a good idea to check their social media first in case they don’t need any more.
Sarah Storandt, Zoo Manager said, “We are accepting Christmas trees. Anybody is welcome to drop their tree off by the main gates, we probably will hit a limit. We had such a great turnout last year that we were overrun with Christmas trees, so keep an eye on our Facebook page for when we do become full.”
Peanut butter, sugar-free jello, and cereal are also welcome gifts because the animals adore these foods. If you want to drop off your tree, make sure you remove all of the ornaments, lights, and tinsel first.
