MADISON, WI (WSAU) — Max Klesmit scored 20 straight points over four and a half minutes in the second half to lift Wisconsin over Indiana 91-79.
Klesmit finished the game with 26 points and two steals in 30 minutes of work. AJ Storr added 15 while Steven Crowl dropped 12 and grabbed eight rebounds.
John Blackwell contributed 12 points off the bench.
The Badgers shot a blistering 59.6% from the field including 47.6% from three-point range (10/21).
Indiana was led by Malik Reneau who scored the game-high with 28 points.
The game was the only B1G action on Friday, so with the win Wisconsin maintains first place in the conference standings at 6-1 (14-4 overall,) a full game better than Purdue (5-2) and 1.5 up on Illinois and Northwestern (4-2 each). The Boilers are in action today against Iowa.
