SCHOFIELD, WI (WSAU) — The deadline for owners of the Northern Mobile Home Park to appeal a decision by the Schofield City Council to revoke their operating license passed on Monday with no action.
Schofield City Attorney Lee Turonie told WSAU news that owners had until the close of the business day Monday to deliver their appeal, but no action was taken meaning it appears the council’s decision is final.
Living conditions in the park have been the subject of much discussion and debate among the council, with as many as 350 violations ranging from the trimming of trees to structural shortcomings with the homes and safety access for first responders and residents. City leaders have also citied public safety issues in the park including exposed water and power hookups in their reports.

The council voted unanimously to pull the operating license on April 9th but gave residents until August 1st to find new housing. City leaders have been working on a list of apartments in the area with vacancies or other mobile home parks with space available for trailers.
Owners were actually given an extra day to file for an appeal because the 20 day mark following the initial vote fell on a Sunday.
