WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Health Department is looking for a dog that could have rabies.
Officials of the Marathon County Health Department are on the search for a dog in the Wausau area who bit a man on Monday afternoon. The man was bitten by the dog on the corner of 3rd and Short Street.
The dog was captured by someone else in the neighborhood and returned to its owner without the knowing the dog had bit a person. The dog is said to be a black medium-sized short-hair mixed-breed dog with white markings on its chest and front paws. The dog was wearing a camouflage collar at the time.
