WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The much-anticipated concert lineup for the 2019 Wisconsin Valley Fair in Wausau has been announced.
Tuesday, July 30th the grand stage show features Boogie and The Yo Yo’s along with a Fireworks show sponsored by Fireworks Country.
Wednesday, July 31st country music singer-songwriter Rodney Atkins will take the stage. The Tennessee native boasts six #1 singles on the country charts including four releases from his 2006 album “If You’re Going Through Hell” and the 2011 single “Take A Backroad.” Atkins won the 2006 Top New Male Vocalist honor at the Academy of Country Music awards and was nominated for the 2008 Horizon Award at the Country Music Association awards.
Thursday, August 1st brings former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry and his band Daughtry, whose current album “Cage to Rattle” peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 200.
Daughtry has had success in both his solo career and his work collaborating with the likes of Slash, Carlos Santana, Sevendust, Theory of a Deadman, and Chad Kroeger. Daughtry trails only Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson on the American Idol all-time album sales list.
Friday, August 2nd brings the first Top 40 act in recent memory when Andy Grammer will perform. The Los Angeles based singer-songwriter debuted in 2001 with his hit “Keep Your Head Up.” His most recent single, “Smoke Clears,” topped out at #13 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 chart.
Weekend shows will include a rodeo on Saturday, August 3rd and the popular demolition derby on Sunday, August 4th.
Admission to the concerts is included with your regular fair gate admission. Reserved seating for the Rodney Atkins, Daughtry, and Andy Grammer shows is available for $20 and can be purchased at www.wisconsinvalleyfair.com and at the fair office in Marathon Park. Those seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.
