MILWAUKEE, WI (METROSOURCE-WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers struck out 14 times in six innings against Dinelson Lamet in a 2-1 loss to the San Diego Padres at Miller Park.
Keston Hiura homered in the sixth for one of Milwaukee’s three hits. Adrian Houser took the loss. The Brewers had won 11 of their previous 12 games.
The Brewers face the Padresone more time this afternoon at Miller Park. Jordan Lyles takes the mound for Milwaukee and Joey Lucchesi for San Diego.
The Brewers are tied with the Cubs for the second NL wild card and three back in the NL Central.
